Job Summary:

We are seeking a Webmaster to join our Information Technology (IT) Department and who will be responsible for maintaining and developing all La Clinica’s web sites and web technical functions, including both Internet, Intranet, and SharePoint web sites, while utilizing modern web development technologies. The ideal candidate is a professional who is passionate about maintaining, modernizing, replacing, designing, developing, and building web sites and related web systems on a wide variety of platforms from SharePoint to Unix, and who can produce outcomes which are elegant, meticulous in design, carefully documented, user friendly, technically secure, and which simply stated, address the wide variety of need within an overall agency-wide healthcare environment. As a result, you will need to be agile, solutions-oriented, and take ownership of assigned projects and deliver robust, thoughtful, and “outside of the box” results based on your skills as a webmaster. This is a role that calls for an individual who is web systems savvy, exceptionally client-focused, resolutions-oriented, and efficient while at the same time can be engaging and affable. To be successful, you need to enjoy working with all kinds of people, to feel energized by an ever-changing healthcare and web-systems environment and remain deeply versed and relevant in such environments. This role is expected to work from on-site. This role reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Major Areas of Responsibility, include but are not limited to:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using an approved process for agency Web/SharePoint updates consults with department managers to plan Web site development.
  • Develops technical architecture of the Web/SharePoint sites including scripting and user interface design.
  • Coordinates with Managers or their designees who are responsible for Web/SharePoint site content, to refresh Web/SharePoint site content and ensure accuracy and timeliness of information, images, etc.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including scripting, security issues, authoring tools, graphic design tools, and new languages.
  • Integrates new technologies into Web site and SharePoint sites.
  • Answers or forwards to management any Web site-related email questions from users.
  • Communicates with other personnel regarding technical requirements of Web/SharePoint sites and upcoming projects or events related to Web/SharePoint sites.
  • Analyzes traffic to Web/SharePoint sites and recommends and implements any necessary approved programming changes.
  • Creates automatic systems of data and content storage on Web/SharePoint site.
  • Provides technical support and participates in employee Web/SharePoint site training.
  • Collaborates with relevant contractors and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with external vendors on special Web site events, promotions, marketing campaigns, or specific design projects.
  • Will collaborate with the Publication Department to update and make authorized forms available as appropriate.
  • As required translates concepts and information into images; uses feedback to modify designs; demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Pursues training and development opportunities.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
  • Develop best practices.
  • Resolves complex Web/SharePoint issues and tracks through internal ticketing system.
  • Works with off-the-shelf and custom-built utilities where applicable.
  • Documents all processes performed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Communication

  • Communicate daily with the Chief Information Officer and regularly provides project status to the CIO, other project stakeholders, and clinical and operational leadership as appropriate.
  • Serve as a trusted partner working with staff to analyze needs and develop Web/SharePoint based solutions for user access to information, address overall organizational goals, and facilitate service delivery for La Clinica’s needs.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have in-depth and full working knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress, modern PHP, HTML5, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, XML, Perl, Unix, and Unix based web systems and their configuration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of effective design techniques and standards including user interface design, graphics creation, production, and Web/SharePoint optimization techniques.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software; Development software; Internet web software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge of operating principles, methods and limitations of all Web/SharePoint systems equipment and software.
  • Skills
  • Strong analytic, troubleshooting skills; can problem solve, organize, and manage multiple tasks and projects in a health information systems environment with large volumes of data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Able to identify root causes of Web/SharePoint systems integrity and application performance issues.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours. Some evenings, nights, and weekends are occasionally required. May include taking after-hours support calls.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to accept changes gracefully.
  • Able to work professionally and collaboratively in team-based care delivery.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires four-year college or university program certificate with 3 to 5 years of experience.

OR

  • Five to ten years related experience and/or training with demonstration of progressively higher responsibilities.
  • Experience in web development and design.

Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Bending/lifting, pushing/pulling, adjusting, or moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds in all directions and occasionally more.
  • Repeating motions that may include the neck, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
